Driving Finance Careers Forward, One Swing at a Time
The Institute of Financial Operations & Leadership is proud to support London Luton Airport’s 2026 Airport Charity Golf Day, taking place on 5 June 2026 at Pavenham Park Golf Course in Bedford.
For the second year running, the event will support two fantastic charity partners: the National Literacy Trust and Tokko Youth Hub.
The National Literacy Trust works to improve literacy among children, young people, and adults, helping more people discover the confidence and opportunity that reading and writing can bring. Tokko Youth Hub supports local teenagers by offering services focused on mental wellbeing, inclusive peer groups, and positive life choices.
London Luton Airport, a valued client of IFOL, has a strong track record of supporting important charitable causes. Its vision is to help build a healthy, fair, and sustainable town, and fundraising events like this play an important role in bringing that vision to life.
The golf day has already made a real impact. Last year’s event raised £24,000, the highest total in its history.
Sponsoring the Silver Competition Hole
IFOL will be taking part in this year’s event by sponsoring the Silver Competition Hole. We’ve created a special banner for the hole, and the winner will receive a Virgin Experience gift voucher.
“Both of our organisations place real value on education, opportunity, and skills development for young people,” says Sam Hitchen-Rae, CEO of IFOL. “Sponsoring the Silver Competition Hole is a small but meaningful way for us to show our support for those shared values.”
Supporting Communities and Creating Positive Change
The saying “it takes a village” is especially true when it comes to helping young people build confidence, make positive choices, and plan for their futures. When local organisations, charities, and businesses come together, they can help create opportunities that have a lasting impact.
That’s why IFOL is pleased to support London Luton Airport and its charity partners. Their commitment to young people, education, wellbeing, and community development closely aligns with IFOL’s own belief in the power of learning and connection.
Sam adds: “We were keen to support London Luton Airport because of their strong commitment to these causes. At IFOL, we know that engaged, educated, and active communities are essential, whether that’s a local community or a professional one. Our own membership is built on the same idea: connecting with peers, sharing knowledge, and continuing to learn.”
