AFTER YOU’RE CERTIFIED

Maintaining Your CFOM® Certification

Demonstrate Your Commitment to Professional Excellence

Earning the Certified Finance Operations Manager (CFOM®) designation is a significant professional achievement, recognising your expertise, leadership, and dedication to excellence in finance operations. However, maintaining your certified status is equally important, it allows you to continue showcasing the CFOM credential after your name, signalling to employers, colleagues, and industry peers that you are committed to ongoing professional growth and development.

Ongoing Professional Development

Achieving CFOM status is only the beginning. To stay at the forefront of the finance operations profession, it is essential to keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices. This includes developments in:

  • Compliance and governance
  • Tax and regulatory frameworks
  • Financial technology and automation
  • Process improvement and operational excellence

IFOL recommends at least 12 hours  of professional learning per year.

While there is no formal requirement  to report or track your continuing education, engaging in 12 hours annually ensures your skills remain current, your knowledge stays relevant, and your ability to lead complex finance operations continues to grow.
