Maintaining Your CFOM Certification
Ensuring the maintenance of your certified status and keeping your certification active allows you to proudly showcase the designation you’ve earned (CFOM) following your name, demonstrating your ongoing commitment to professional growth and development to potential employers.
Upon successful completion of your exams and attainment of the CFOM professional credential, it’s essential to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements through continuous education resources provided by IFOL. While there’s no formal mandate to track and report your ongoing education activities, it’s advisable to engage in at least 12 hours of continuous learning annually, focusing particularly on compliance, tax, and technology-related subjects.
Upon passing your CFOM exam, you’ll automatically receive an invitation (via email) to become a Certified Full Member of the Institute of Financial Operations and Leadership (IFOL). This membership grants you access to a plethora of continuing education resources, including live training sessions, virtual events, conferences, and published reports.
