Garry brings over 40 years of experience in the finance industry, including 25 years with Aberdeen City Council. During his time as Financial Services Manager, he led a full transformation of the Accounts Payable function—developing an award-winning, best-in-class AP team that delivered measurable benefits to the Council and its suppliers. He took early retirement from the role in 2016.

In 2021, Garry joined IFOL, where he shares his deep expertise with students preparing for their CAPP qualifications. He delivers webinars, masterclasses, and workshops covering all aspects of Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay (P2P).
