The Shared Services Forum UK and The Institute of Financial Operations and Leadership have partnered with a mission to develop the UK’s first Shared Services Apprenticeship pathway. We are now inviting applications from experienced Shared Services leaders with a passion and belief in the industry to join our Trailblazer process.
Are you driven by innovation and transformation, do you value people development, and want to make a broad and impactful contribution to the Shared Services industry?
Why apply?
As a participant of the Apprenticeship Trailblazer process, you will be instrumental in shaping the multidisciplinary learning and development requirements within the Shared Services Apprenticeship Standard. You will:
- Be recognised as a key contributor within the Shared Services industry
- Make history by developing the first Shared Services Apprenticeship Standard
- Help shape learning experiences of future Shared Services professionals
Lisa Hooley, on behalf of The Shared Services Forum UK, said:
“What a fantastic opportunity this is for Shared Services leaders across the disciplines to come together and collaborate on an Apprenticeship Trailblazer. We can’t wait to get started, and I’m hoping that leaders who are passionate about future talent development and believe in the business value that shared services enables will join the group. With our collective knowledge harnessed, I’m sure we will create a relevant and game-changing learning experience”.
What is an Apprenticeship Trailblazer?
Developing Apprenticeships takes time and commitment; but Apprenticeships are essential for the future success of businesses and the Shared Services industry.
An Apprenticeship Trailblazer is made up of a group of experts responsible for identifying the skills and knowledge future Shared Services professionals and employers need. Trailblazer group members should be a reflection of those who lead, work and employ people in the sector from a range of organisations, across the full range of services. Group members should:
- Have current or recent industry knowledge and experience
- Be able to identify the skills that people working in different Shared Services disciplines need
- Wish to be an ambassador for the Shared Services Apprenticeship
Sam Hitchen-Rae, on behalf of The Institute of Financial Operations and Leadership, added:
“Joining the Apprenticeship Trailblazer group is such an exciting opportunity to be part of shaping the future of Shared Services. The Trailblazer group will create a career path for professionals working in the Shared Services industry. We want to support and recognise the skillset and expertise it takes to succeed in Shared Services which is something that is not currently available through Apprenticeship programmes”.
We are now inviting applications to join the Shared Services Trailblazer group who will be responsible for developing the very first Shared Services Apprenticeship Standard.
Who can apply?
If you currently lead, specialise in, or have significant recent experience working within Shared Services, please consider joining the Apprenticeship Trailblazer and sharing your valuable insights and experience.
Contributions to Apprenticeship Trailblazer groups are based on individual expertise, rather than joining to act as a representative of your organisation – but if you do work for an employer, you will need their agreement to join the Trailblazer. Once a Trailblazer group is finalised with the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, your employer’s name will be published in association with the Apprenticeship Standard.
To be considered as a Trailblazer group member, please complete our short application form.
We look forward to embarking on this process and hope you will join us!
